We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
The newsletter is free and optional. Here is exactly what happens when you subscribe.
We send one confirmation email first. Nothing else is sent until you click the link in it, which expires after 48 hours. If you do not confirm within 30 days, the address is deleted by a routine clean-up; only the anonymous consent entry (no email address) remains.
Tracking links contain a signed identifier only, never your email address or name. IP addresses on tracking events are hashed before storage. All of this data is stored in our own database in the newsletter system; the provider only relays the messages.
Messages are delivered by Resend (Resend, Inc., United States) acting as our processor under contract. Your email address and the message content pass through their systems in order to be delivered. We do not sell or share the list with anyone else.
Every issue has an unsubscribe link and supports one-click unsubscribe in Gmail, Apple Mail and Outlook. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and is never reversed automatically. You can also change your interest area or unsubscribe from the preferences link in any issue, or email support@ignyteconsulting.com.
Unsubscribed addresses are kept on a suppression list so we do not email you again, along with the consent history that shows when you subscribed and unsubscribed. Engagement events are kept for reporting and pruned after 24 months. You can ask us to delete your record entirely at any time.
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@ignyteconsulting.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
The site is served over HTTPS. Portal passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Newsletter confirmation tokens are stored only as hashes and tracking tokens are cryptographically signed so they cannot be guessed or altered.
If we change how the newsletter collects or uses information we will update this page and the consent wording version shown on the signup form, and, where the change is material, tell subscribers in the next issue.
